Est-ce que l'acupuncture peut déclencher l'accouchement?

Oui, mais ajoutons de la nuance à ce "oui"!


Le massage Tui Na ou l'acupuncture peut aider à faire maturer le col, placer bébé et sécréter certaines hormones que le corps est déjà tranquillement en train de produire pour l'accouchement (ocytocine pour les contractions, endorphines pour diminuer la douleur.)


Cependant, l'acupuncture n'est qu'un coup de pouce pour le corps. Il est possible de débuter autour de 36 37 SA. Si le vent vient caresser un cerisier, une cerise mûre tombera sûrement. Pour la cerise pas encore prête, le vent l'aidera à se détacher un peu plus mais pas à tomber.


Dans certains cas, l'action de l'acupuncture sur tous les critères cités font que l'accouchement se déclenche.

Mais des fois, le corps, le bébé et le cocktail hormonal ne sont pas prêts, il faut donc être patient.e.s. et laisser le temps à la nature de faire son travail :)


Dans tous les cas, même l'acupuncture ou le massage ne "provoque" pas, elle aide à avoir un accouchement plus doux.


En chiffre plus précis, une série de traitements peuvent donner les bénéfices suivants:

👉 diminue le temps de la phase active (de 1 à 6h de moins.)

👉 diminue le nombre d'unité d'ocytocine de synthèse requise

👉 maturation du col plus rapide.

👉 - 22% d'usage de péridurale

👉 diminue significativement la perception de la douleur (surtout de 0 à 7cm.)

👉 - 52% de nausées

👉 + 17% de chance d'avoir un accouchement spontané

👉 - 30% de césariennes

👉 diminue l'anxiété

👉 diminue les douleurs en post-partum

👉 - 50% de dépression post-partum
